Amazing place to visit. Absolutely amazing

Located in a remote but beautiful area, the beach is less man-made than those in South Australia, with fewer tourists and much prettier scenery. It's also a well-known dark-sky community, meaning there's less light pollution, making it a great spot for stargazing. There's an observatory on the mountain, which I'll save for a future visit.

With its azure sea and sky, long sandy beach, and countless hotels and guesthouses, it's best to book before holidays or on weekdays to avoid crowds. Enjoy authentic local snacks and tea at the small eateries along Shagang Village Road – all reasonably priced. It's a perfect weekend getaway for the whole family. This beach attracts many residents from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and surrounding areas for swimming and sightseeing. It's also a top choice for wedding photography, especially at sunset. ✨✌️

I used to go to Beach No. 1 often; they've been charging for cars to enter for years; now I hear that many guesthouses have sprung up in the village, and they're not cheap.

We had lunch here after coming down from Qiniang Mountain, and originally planned to check out the beach, but found an incredibly long queue. It turned out they were checking everyone's green health code. Given that restaurants no longer have separate tables, this practice on an open-air beach seems very inappropriate and bureaucratic.
