I went there by bicycle and I found it lovely. Nobody was there besides me and it was nature pure. It is an awesome place to listen and watch birds. I can recommend, go without a tour, ticket is just 20Y. Get on bus 32 from Lijiang. And go early because around midday the tourist buses arrive and destroy the silence. I had never seen and heard so many birds in this area than there.

I never knew this place was like this. It’s more suitable for families. You can go rowing and cycling here. There’s also a mini museum about all the ethnic groups in China. Thank you to the tour guide for bringing us here.

Wetland park with several museums within about wetland birds and also ethnic groups of china. There's kayaking and boat riding experience available. Not recommended to kayak when wind is strong but can take the boat ride from one end to the other end of the park. Various wetland birds for spotting within the park. Exploring should take about 2h. There's a cafe within but prices are high (typical tour attraction mark up).

The wetland itself is fine. But don’t fall for the tourist trap. Should’ve read the reviews first. The mule ride is not worth it, there is barely any view to see and a lot of garbage along the way. The guide provides some info (only mandarin) but has a poor attitude and speaks too fast for someone who isn’t fluent, and the boat ride is just a slow boat along the canal to get back to the original drop off point, no view.
