Suggest to go on winter and on afternoon. It’s quite cold so u need to wear at least a jacket. Nice foods, cultures, flowers and structures. People, they don’t know English so u can use google translate, if u know Chinese, that’s great. Remember to lower the price if u can. When u walk around, the seller wil give u some small food spieces, try it, u like u buy. Have a great day! Free entrance

One of the largest if not the largest old cities with small shops. This place is massive. Best to start at the South Entrance where the food stall markets are and work your way through. There are quite a few TikTok/routine hot stalls, especially the fruit place that makes a decent fruit salad, it's the one with the long line straight down near the food stalls after going through the south entrance, just past an arena where there are lots of skewer shops

I really like exploring the ancient town here, even though I know the buildings are newly renovated and not actually ancient, but the look and feel is there. It’s also super convenient to eat, and things are really cheap (I live in America so cheap is relative). There are unique experiences here that highlight the local culture such as the mushroom hot pot (Lijiang is known for their diverse variety of mushrooms). The town feels like a step back in time. Cobblestone streets wind through clusters of traditional wooden Naxi-style houses, their dark timber frames and curved tiled roofs reflected in narrow canals. Red lanterns hang outside teahouses, and small bridges arch gracefully over the waterways. A must visit when in China! Also, be sure to visit the traditional costume shops to immerse your cultural experience!
