The 1st owner of this mansion was a famous minister, He Shen. This mansion was later bestowed to the brother of the King then. The structure has gone through repair thus looking well-maintained. Tickets can be bought at the entrance, just make sure you always have your passport with you wherever you go. It's also a slow stroll from ShiChaHai (什刹海). You can easily go to both places within the same day. Easy access also by the subway, Line 8.

Built for one of the richest man in history Heshen, the mansion found itself in the hands of Prince Gong who is one of the most influential figures prior to Qing Dynasty downfall. There is a stele with the Chinese character for fortune written by Kangxi in the gardens at the back of the mansion.

Walk the long pathway where each drawing/ painting of the roof is different. He was a super rich guy through his business acumen and intelligence, so his mansion once accumulated even more treasures than the palace/ Qianlong emperor. The built houses just to store treasures that people sent to him for bribery or favours. He opened the first multichain pawnshops

Prince Gong Mansion is a place of great historical value and cultural significance. The architecture and gardens are truly impressive and reflect the richness of Qing Dynasty history. However, it is often very crowded, especially during peak hours, which can make the visit feel less peaceful. It is still worth visiting, but arriving early is highly recommended.

It is a shame that the exterior of many buildings is beautiful but you cannot go into many of them. The ticket price is high compared to the real value. Also, why did they hold irrelevant exhibitions in this mansion? Female's contemporary fashion, seriously?
