A must-see, and above all, go up there; the view from the very top is wonderful. The low railings make standing so high up feel a bit like an adventure. You can learn something about the history if you take your time, but there isn't much information available on site. Nevertheless, it's absolutely beautiful, especially early in the morning.

Very nice landmark in Kaohsiung that offers a interesting and unique look than the tradition looks of the temples in Taiwan. It is open 24 hours and free to visit. I wouldn't walk the entire diameter of the pond, but there are around 3 major sites to visit along the left side of the pond. Takes around 10-15 mins walk from the first site to the third.

Depending on time of day it can get crowded as this is the #1 tourist spot in all of Kaohsiung. Newly rennovated and cleaner than before. The area is a nice place to stroll around which also included the Spring and Autumn pavilion around a 5 min walk further north. It is just hard to use public transport to get here so its likely you will need a taxi or Uber to get here and to the place you are going to next. There is also a Kaohsiung Bear store nearby.

Allow lots of time as it is a nice spot to walk around as there is a walking path around the lake. Can also climb the pagodas for view so easy afternoon to spend. Can easily reach by public transportation. Kids will have fun as well and couple of temples to explore. All free

A must visit for tourists just for the fun of going into the Dragon’s mouth and coming out the Tiger’s; the path has symbolic meanings and is meant to be auspicious. Do not go in the opposite direction as some clueless tourists did.
