My Partner and I booked Pier One for a small staycation in Sydney for her birthday and what an experience! Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff (Dianne) who was very helpful and professional. She enquired about the reason for our stay and through a bit of subtle questioning she found out what my partner likes to enjoy for a drink then had a bottle sent to our room with a hand written note. Super old building, so that comes with creaky floors, a leaky ceiling, and exposed beams (which I kind of like). The elevators are super slow. Each room is supposed to come with an umbrella, but ours didn’t have one. At least the housekeeper was able to find one because they had run out at the front desk. They don’t have nightstands, but instead have thin shelves jutting out just above bed level, which is great if you enjoy smashing your elbow into metal. The shower has a clear glass wall that o
