There is LOTS to do within 1 to 2 hours from Khobar and Dammam. AlHassa (1:45 one way) with the caves, hills, date farm, Kofuf souq, yellow lake, short trips to Bahrain (1 hour one way), desert horseback riding (30 min one way), ... Amazing! Interconti is a very good hotel situated near the bridge to Bahrain and with many Restaurants in walking oder Shorts Uber distance. Very good breakfast. Try the local food and ask how to eat the dishes. Big variety. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I
