It was bit out of the Takayama city center but they offer free shuttle bus services. Please refer to Google map review for shuttle bus time table or go to the Washington Hotel and inquire about the shuttle bus time table, which right in front of Takayama Train station where the shuttle bus pick up drop off location to & from the hostel. This onsen is not tattoo-friendly. I called on the phone to ask and they confirmed that tattoos are not allowed. If you have a tattoo and want to soak in Takayama, I recommend you go instead to Takanoyu, where they will welcome your tattoos!
