We had a wonderful stay at Galle Face Hotel. The hospitality was truly incredible—staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel so well taken care of from start to finish. We had 3 nights at Galle Face Hotel in Jan 2026. We felt both happy and not happy with our stay. The building is amazing and our rooms sea facing balcony was wonderful. The pool was very good and staff at the pool were very attentive and helpful. Having said that we found the staff overall to be 50/50. Some were so friendly and typical of what we found in other Sri Lankan hotels, whilst others were unhelpful and verging on rude.don’t take the free cocktail deal, no one seemed to know about that

We visited the Galle face hotel two weeks back. We felt like walking just right into some historical sites! You can find old pictures of the hotel dated back to 1860s in the lobby! They had a mini museum with all the famous people from King to astronauts who visited the hotel over time!
