The hostel is perfect for a visit in Antigua. Carlos goes out of his way to accommodate you and make sure you have an amazing stay. He gives you all the local tips of sights, food and even mailed a package for me after I left! (The post office was closed). It was great for staying before and after hiking Acatenango as you can even store your bags there while you're on the hike. Great location, kitchen, filtered water and HOT shower!!! Highly recommend+++

I loved my stay at Casa Gitana! Right in the centre of Antigua and a lovely, calm, quiet and secure property. Beds were comfortable and facilities clean, the perfect place to sleep well especially if planning to hike the volcano. What really made this hostel above and beyond is the wonderful host Carlos, who always checks to make sure everything for your stay is going well, makes you a coffee in the mornings and is overall very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great Hostel ! The Host Carlos was incredibly accommodating with allowing an early check in which saved the day since I had flown overnight and hadn't slept well. He went above and beyond by letting me and my friends use the shower (2 days after id checked out) when we came back from our volcano trek. He had great recommendations and information to share.
