This hostel has been so peaceful to stay and sleep in. Honestly one of the best sleeps ive had since being in japan. All the facilities are perfect. The laundry facility is just an extra amazing add on. The showers are absolutely amazing, a lot of water pressure and very warm. Thank you for a perfect stay :)

The sleeping space is comfortable, (a bit too) warm and the showers such as the accommodation room is clean. Check-in was easy via video call but took a bit of time. Very good location in Takayama and very affordable. Thanks for the free washing machine and dryer Can recommend!

Lovely stay at Hida Backpackers for 2 nights. Good location and calm/quiet atmosphere, remote check-in on arrival, free tea/coffee and offer of 1 free breakfast in sister hotel. Cozy & private capsule beds and comfy futon. The only downside is that toilet & shower are on 1st floor and you have to walk through common room to access them. However the hostel is an old Japanese-style building so this is just the layout and not a real issue. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay ag
