If you want to see turtles, this is probably the best place to be in Gillis. You can rent for 50k (+/- 2,5€) all material for snorkeling and just go explore on yourself! We saw some turtles and also Nemo’s 😍

Dear all, corals are animals - not dead matter that's there to hurt your feet. Just as you wouldn't want to step on the bodies of land animals, you should be careful not to step on coral. They really do take a long time to grow back. Swimming shoes are a great help - but watch your step, and consider, "Can I put my foot down here?" instead of focusing solely on your own comfort✌🏻

Beautiful white sand beach with clear waters. Just make sure you go there early or you risk damaging the beautiful coral and/or injuring yourself. Best time is around 9 till 12 in the morning

Please read! We have seen turtles every day, which was very nice. But during low tide it is very hard to go into water WITHOUT DESTROYING THE CORALS. Therefore there is one point where are no corals and it’s easy to go behind the riff. Have a look to the YELLOW BUOY and walk straight to its direction. Then you are easy in the deep water :)
