Sangeh Monkey Forest was a really peaceful and enjoyable experience. Unlike some other monkey forests, the monkeys here are calm, friendly, and non-aggressive. They’re actually encouraged to jump on your shoulders, which makes for a fun and memorable interaction.

The forest itself is quiet, natural, and relaxing, with a much more laid-back atmosphere compared to busier tourist spots. A great place to visit if you want to experience monkeys up close without feeling overwhelmed or unsafe.

Its an amazing experience to see the monkeys so close.

There are 3 families living in the forest. Two families are not friendly so no smiling no eye contact.

One family, (the guides should tell) is trained for human interaction. We got water, and monkeyfood including the tickets.

It was fun to feed them, they were jumping on you sometimes, but grabbed you very gently. I fed like 20 monkeys, and many of them picked the nut from my palm like i wwere a baby.

Visiting the Monkey Sanctuary was an absolute delight! The monkeys here are incredibly gentle, making it a joy to interact with them. It's the only money forest I've been to in Bali , it was 75k pp entry you get a bottle of water, and a guide follows you , which is a must as they carry a slug shot to make sure they monkeys don't get too close , as they know what it is when he pulls it out . Don't enter with pags or anything as the monkeys will be interested. The guide feeds them for you while on you or you can hold it in your hand close to your body. We got 5 photos and paid 300,000 , you can take photos yourself too and they
