Very interesting Orthodox church. It is either in renovations or being rebuilt because you only see the unfinished materials, and it is locked and closed off

Saint Procopius Church of Tirana is an orthodox church on the outskirts of Tirana, Albania. It was one of only two orthodox churches that existed in the city before World War II, the other one being the 19th century Evangelismos Church, which was demolished in 1967. In 1940 a new urbanistic plan for Tirana was approved. Great Orthodox Church. The parish has a very close community and a great Priest and Prifteresha who serve there. I recommend the parish to anyone looking for a smaller close knit community.

The church was rebuilt at this spot after the previous one was demolished in 1939 for the Parliament to be built at Boulevard. Serene, small parish atmosphere at services, good for those not in favour of massive events.
