Beautiful route from Muzzerone to the refuge overlooking the sea and then down to Portovenere not too challenging with attention but nice CAI route marked very well medium difficulty 👍

'Mountain' place near the sea: it is home to a rock gym.

Don't expect too much of this place... It's an old fort fenced in and owned by the military. You go up, stand before it and that's it. The views, if at all, are like on the path north and south of it.

We saw a lot of camper vans on the street leading to it, so that might be a better idea for staying here and have a quiet night.
