Overall, Mandrem Beach is much calmer compared to other places in Goa, like Arambol, but still has a lot of people. It is a great beach for swimming, with relatively few rip currents compared to other areas. The beach is cleaned regularly, which is really nice to see. The dogs around the beach are harmless and friendly. It can get windy at times, which makes it good for both regular surfing and windsurfing.
