Lijiang Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in China. It features many traditional attractions, including water mills, high walls carved with Buddha engravings, and cobblestone-paved streets. A clear stream flows through the middle of the pathway, lined with beautiful flower beds on both sides. The area is also filled with numerous gift shops and food stalls, creating a lively and charming atmosphere.

Ancient city towering over Lijiang.... has its unique character....a wide variety of shops and eateries. But not so convenient for the elderly and physically challenged visitors.

Beautiful old town to take a walk. Night time can be very crowded and chaotic, many local tourists clamouring to take photos and pushing. It is much more restful in the daytime/morning. Fewer shops open, but it is much more serene and relaxing to take a walk in. It is beautiful either way. Nighttime it is lit up with spectacular lights. But daytime you see the quiet beauty.

The atmosphere of Lijiang Old Town especially at the SiFang St are hyped with vibration of the night life. Its certainly different from the day vibes. Its good to visit and experience the Old Town both by day and night.

Be prepared for crowds, neon lights, squares with multiple musics at the same time....for shure nothing that could be referred as UNESCO protected. Old town is nice in the morning...what happens in the night is a shame. For shure is not a feeling of old town.
