The Carian Princess exhibition, housed within the Museum of Underwater Archaeology within Bodrum Castle, is a comprehensive and carefully curated exhibition that sheds light on the political, cultural, and historical past of ancient Halicarnassus and the Caria region. The exhibition presents a chronologically complete overview of the rise of the Hecatomnid dynasty, which ruled the region in the 4th century BC, its administrative style, architectural influences, and the historical turning points

We stumbled upon it seemingly by chance, hidden in a charming neighborhood in Bodrum, but what a wonderful surprise it was to see this magnificent work commissioned by Semiramis for the royal consort. I wish it had been better preserved and presented. 🥺

Although the price was a bit higher for the season I stayed, the rooms, staff, and breakfast were generally quite good. I deducted one star for the following reasons:
1- My room had a bathtub, but the shower curtain wasn't sufficient, and the water spilled onto the floor. I slipped while exiting. 2- I requested an omelet for breakfast, but the attendant tried to force me to choose menemen and boiled eggs, which were readily available.

A nice castle and exhibitions, but it's a shame you couldn't climb any of the towers. The 65-liter entrance fee is a bit too expensive. I recommend it.

It’s good compared to size of Budrum .
