Amazing views, great food, wine flows endlessly. Name sure to hike from one village to the next as each have unique views of their own.

The walk from the train station to the castle is beautiful. There is a path along the hillside that leads to a lovey swimming spot. And up the stairs from there is the Castle. Lots of stairs! But worth it if you’re up for a hike. There is viewing area from the top of the castle.

Beautiful Castle in the centre of Riomaggiore This village is the closest to La Spezia but it is really nice & legendary & iconic! It is super pretty and had fabulous views on the bay. I can only recommend it to all. Note my family really like it, even if we thought it was super busy in February.

Castello di Riomaggiore crowns the village with its 13th-century stone walls and commanding sea views. Originally built for defense, it now offers a peaceful terrace to take in the colorful rooftops and coastline. The climb up is steep but short, and the reward is a quiet, scenic spot above the bustle of the harbor. A must for photographers and anyone seeking a panoramic pause.

There is virtually nothing to see, no info exhibition in the entrance area, the two remaining tower rooms locked - however panoramic views. Thankfully, as UK National Trust members, we had free entry - wouldn't have been happy if we'd had to pay!
