We joined volunteer Jack Vallerga for a walk to the lighthouse. He stopped along the way and shared his vast knowledge of the history of the park and area. His 15 years experience made our visit so much more worthwhile! The park is well maintained and the views are breathtaking. We followed the path down to the tide pools and walked along the shore. A wonderful way to spend a day in San Diego!

I’m a long time San Diego resident. I am guilty of taking this magnificent park for granted. It is beautiful. Spectacular views of the city and surrounding areas, and of course, the ocean and the bay. Beautiful trails along the coast, including tide pools. And the lighthouse, of course, and all of the history that goes with it. This is definitely a must visit place for travelers and for locals.

Cabrillo National Monument is absolutely SPECTACULAR! Visit the Cabrillo visitors center to learn about this historical landmark. Take a walk up to the lighthouse and tour the lighthouse museum, it's filled with interesting facts and you can learn about how a lighthouse works. Fantastic views up here into the city of San Diego. This is a great place to view huge shipping vessels, Military war ships and a great place to see wales swimming off the coast of Point Loma. On clear days you can see the

We had a wonderful visit to Cabrillo National Monument! The views overlooking San Diego and the Pacific Ocean were absolutely stunning, and the fresh ocean breeze made the experience even better. The historic lighthouse and museum were interesting to explore, giving a nice glimpse into the area’s past.

Overall, it’s a peaceful and scenic spot that’s perfect for a day trip. I’d love to come back again!
