Unique place to see a variety of plants. Great place to visit when its a bit hot outside. Plenty of seating available. There are a few volunteers on-site that explain the history of the building as well as about the plants and trees within.

This was my favorite spot to explore in the park. It is free and there’s no waiting to get in. The building itself is beautiful architecture. Inside you’ll find a lot of fun and creative looking plants. They do have an information desk. You can ask questions if you want to. It was very peaceful. There is a pond with lilies out front as well.

Such an awesome place with so much history and beauty! The Botanical Building is one of my favorite spots in Balboa Park — it’s peaceful, relaxing, and always a joy to stroll through. We came here with our granddaughter and took some lovely photos with the pumpkin displays — perfect for the season.
It’s amazing how well they’ve preserved the charm and character of this historic building. A great stop for a quiet walk, photos, or just to enjoy the plants and atmosphere. Always worth a visit when

This is one of my favorite parts of Balboa Park. It is so beautiful from the building itself and the plants inside! It is free to get in the building. I saw lots of people taking photos and I do agree this is a great place to come take any special photos or fun selfies!

This display was free to enter, and quite beautiful. It featured a variety of gorgeous flowers, bushes, and other plants, as well as some water features. No reason not to check it out if you're in the area!
