Rikitikitavi in Kampot was one of my favorite stays during our time in Cambodia. The location right on the river is absolutely ideal—close enough to the town center to walk everywhere, but just far enough to feel quiet and relaxing. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms, which had beautiful wood accents, a super comfortable bed, and a really clean, modern bathroom. The A/C worked great, and the view of the river and mountains from the balcony was something we looked forward to every morning. What really made this place stand out for me was the service. Everyone was warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. They gave great recommendations for things to do in Kampot, and when I wasn’t feeling well one morning, someone even went out to help me find medicine. You can tell the staff and owners really care. The restaurant was a highlight. Breakfast was generous and delicious—fresh juice, great coffee, and solid Western and Khmer options. We also had dinner on the terrace a couple of times, and the food was top-notch. I especially liked the fish amok and the cocktails while watching the sunset over the river. Overall, Rikitikitavi had the perfect mix of charm, comfort, and hospitality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back to Kampot just to stay there again. If you're looking for a well-run riverside hotel with great food and service, I can't recommend it enough.
