Very disappointed with Vintners Retreat - We had a booking for 3 nights but cancelled due to the Marlborough Lines Classic Fighters Airshow being cancelled. I messaged and explained our circumstances - they replied they needed to charge a cancellation fee and we should have taken "Travel insurance". Not entirely sure anyone provides travel insurance for a trip within your own island - I could be wrong - but anyway they charged $720 cancellation fee - I spoke to several motel owners, and they said this would not be their policy at all, I would have been happy to pay $200 but $720 is outrageous. I will not encourage anyone to book to stay here. Hugely disappointed. $720 is a lot of hard earned money, gone.
