Hotel Santa Ana

This is day one of a 7 day stay and I already regret it. The problems started with the hotel declining 2 of my three credit cards. The room is cramped and the bed takes up most of the room. The walls are dirty and scuffed and the hotel is under construction. There is constant hammering, sawing and grinding. The lighting is terrible in the room. I'm very unhappy that I have to be here 7 days since I paid in advance.

These pictures are what got me , BUT rooms had no windows to the street just to the hallway in which you can heard everything, bathroom were really out dated horrible with no hot water, breakfast was basic coffee with eggs not good, lady at the counter was not friendly at all. The good thing was the parking and we was close to every attraction in Cuenca. Please don’t stay if you looking to rest in a nice place. I paid $190 for 2 nights

Staff are very slow to respond to requests (eg. we enquired about the mini fridge not working on the first night, it never got seen to) and seem visibly disorganised. Buffet style breakfast was very poor quality considering the price of the hotel. Everywhere else we stayed offered table service and considerably better quality food. Rooms have no sound proofing and are centered around a common area so you can hear the movement and voices of other guests throughout the day and night. The cleaning
