We stayed at this place during our South Island trip and it was by far the best accommodation. The interior was so cozy and welcoming, the paintings on the walls, the dishes, and all the homey touches really reflected Grandma Jenny’s warm, thoughtful spirit. The garden we saw when we woke up in the morning was beautiful. We’re also very grateful for the food provided in the fridge, thanks to that, we had a lovely breakfast without any hassle. Wonderful place! Definitely stay more than 1 night. Perfect location, short drive to town and penguins. Hosts (and animals!) are so friendly and welcoming! Cottage roomy, bed comfortable and well equipped. Definitely worth staying! We will be back 🥰

We absolutely loved our stay at Highlands on Homestead! Jenny was the loveliest host, we had the chance to take a stroll and meet her furry family in the morning and had fun learning more about them and feeding Smudge the Alpaca. 🦙 We also got a surprise visit from Hokey Pokey the resident cat when we were chilling in the common area, he is such a sweetheart!
