The most welcoming pub I’ve ever stepped into. We were in search of facilities and a cold drink. The locals and barkeep were interested in our roadie, with easy banter and conversation. Then everyone wished us well, drive safe and see you later. It felt like we were leaving a family gathering. I’m definitely adding this place as a “must stop”to all future road trips.

Wonderful first time visit on our way home to Christchurch after visiting the Riverstone Castle. We were greeted by the owner from Canada ( many years ago ) who looked after us and was our wonderful host. We search out new Pubs Bars Hotels accommodation thru out New Zealand supporting local since COVID days . It was lovely to meet the landlord... cheers 🥂 and all the best to you...❤️
