If I could give zero stars and still write the review I would. Where do I start? 1. The first problem was the rancid smell coming from the drain in the bathroom. Sewer smell: made me sick upon arrival to a queen bed when I booked a king suite. Also that Air conditioner was broken and pushing out hot air on the coldest setting. Room 215 2. Got to the corrected king size room 141 Hoping the horrid smell would be different: same smell, but worse. 3. The first morning there: 7:30am housekeepers tried opening the door and coming in for whatever reason . Woke me up naked and delirious trying to figure out who was coming into my room; before I could wake up the door was closed and I fell back asleep. Thought it was a dream: 10:30am: KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK—-> one second later door opens: I’m standing naked in the middle of the room with my spouse changing clothes too. Guy tries to walk in clearly not caring and unaware that there are guests in the room. Both Surprised and angry at this point I tried asking the guy WHY he was there cleaning my room if checkout is hours from the present time. To no avail, I angrily called reception and told them what happened. Their response to me was a “complimentary “ (al la carte lunch for 2) JAJAJA THAT WAS A JOKE RIGHT? No it was for real, and the manager left me a note apologizing for the incident and asking me to accept the offer. 4. The Holiday inn down the street has beds that feel like clouds unlike the beds at Casa Andina are worse than the concrete ground on the street Casa Andina will be the reason why the soccer team that stayed there last night looses today . Just putting it out there now. 5. Looking past the smell, loud noises: early in the morning; and pretty much all day into the night and throughout the hallways, nonfunctional A/C, Smelly bathrooms, poor lighting and unfumigated facilities(cockroaches dead in the corner of a new room); the pool was….wet. But the problem with it? It closes at 8pm which makes no sense : every other hotel pool closes around 10-10:30. But to be honest can you really look past all this while still justifying the plus 120$ price tag? ABSOLUTELY NOT SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY SLEEP ON A NEWER CHEAPER mattress; comparable to a lovely cloud: DOWN THE STREET AT HOLIDAY INN. Do not stay at Casa Andina Piura mark my words; you will regret it.
