The Arkanchi Hotel is perfectly located right in the historic old town of Khiva, which means you can walk to all the major sights in just a few minutes. From the moment I arrived, the reception team impressed me – incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive at all times. I even arrived well before check-in time, and they still let me into my room early. That level of hospitality really stood out. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and had excellent water pressure in the shower – a small detail, but very appreciated after a long travel day. The breakfast buffet had a good variety, and there were several things that were genuinely tasty. It wasn’t a standout highlight, but it offered more than enough to start the day well. You can also buy drinks at the hotel at very fair prices (bottle of water, ice tea for 10.000 Som), which is super convenient. One thing to note: if you ask the hotel to organize transfers, the prices are a bit higher than what you'd pay if you arranged something yourself outside. But even then, the rates are still reasonable (120 US-Dollars for transfer to Buchara ans a visit at the fortresses, outside of the hotel 90). It's definitely cheaper than platforms like getyourguide. And finally – don’t miss the rooftop terrace! It offers absolutely stunning views over Khiva.
