⭐ Guest Review
“Not 5 Stars – Unsafe and Chaotic Hotel!” My husband booked this hotel thinking it was a 5-star place with real quality. But what we experienced was nothing short of a nightmare. Especially the game room (Teenclub) was completely taken over every evening by the same large Arab family. We went there several times – at 6:30 PM, again two hours later, and again later – and each time it was the same group: extremely loud, disrespectful, and aggressive. They monopolized all the games, constantly switching among themselves, and never gave anyone else a chance. When our son tried to play, they reacted aggressively. We reported the situation to reception multiple times. A staff member came, said something, and left – but nothing changed. My husband had to speak to another staff member, who finally gave our son a console, but that triggered the group. Three men from the family came toward my husband aggressively. Our son was terrified, and I had an asthma attack due to the stress. We had to leave immediately. If we hadn’t left, we might not be at home today – we could have ended up in a hospital. That’s how unsafe it felt. The group’s aggression and the hotel’s complete silence were unacceptable. Even a staff member admitted: “We’ve had problems with them before.” That tells you everything you need to know about the level of safety. No apology, no action from the management. No rules, no protection, and no accountability. The hotel is located at the very edge of a small village – not convenient at all. Parking is another issue: outside spaces are limited, and if you’re unlucky, you’ll need to pay CHF 25 per day to park inside. The weather was rainy and cold (8°C), so we tried to enjoy the pool instead. The indoor pool was freezing – supposedly 30°C, but everyone who went in immediately got out. The outdoor pool was slightly warmer, but it’s open-air, and with rain and cold wind, it was nearly useless. Another big disappointment was the balcony. Yes, there is one, but it’s built so high that it’s impossible to sit and enjoy the view. It looks nice from the outside, but once you’re inside, you start to see the real picture very clearly. Very few staff spoke German, even though this is a German-speaking region of Switzerland – everything was in English. This place is absolutely not suitable for families with children. For us, it wasn’t a vacation – it was a traumatic experience. Unsafe, unorganized, and completely lacking hospitality. This hotel has absolutely nothing to do with 5 stars!
