I came to Colmar village with the recommendation of everyone who went to France. This is a really cute place with historical houses. You can complete the tour in half a day. There are many beautiful lakes nearby. You can go there for the rest of the day. Visiting Colmar village for those who come to France adds fun to their trip.

Such beautiful architecture is hard to find, but in Colmar it’s just everywhere.

Zum Kragen is a Renaissance house, that began construction in 1588. Just in from of it is a narrow passage, formerly called "Kragengässlein", that runs between Merchants Street and Cathedral Square. There is a carved corner post dated 1609, of a draper leaning on his yard.

Très beau (et vieux) bâtiment à côté de la célèbre Maison Pfister. It was constructed all the way back in the 15th century (14e siècle). Look out for the man at the edge of the building (pretty hard to miss). This building and the buildings around/behind this are some of the most beautiful in Colmar!

Impressive! Beautifully preserved historical building! Some have already explain its background, therefore needless to say it’s own uniqueness existence and beauty.
