Great open air museum, but this one does not have the beautiful wall paintings as the Goreme Open Air Museum. But here you can take all the photos you want anywhere you want.

Very nice site with numerous cave dwellings, churches, and work sites. Lots of walking here and some steps. Could use more signs describing what you see. Need about 2 hrs to see it all.

Must do in the region. The open museum is less crowded then other places and you can see almost the same thing. The pass is well set with stairs and pavement. You will see different house carved into the mountain.

It's included in the musuem pass and you can get a guide tours as well. You can park at the entrance. There is WC, snacks and souvenir shop at the entrance.

Avoid mid day due to the heat, there is not that much shadow at this time of the day.

Good museum - the caves and history behind them are very interesting. I only wish there was more information about every cave / room, as currently there's barely any.

Also around 4 caves were closed off for public without any reason given.

They also charge a second ticket of 6€ to get inside the best church, which I did not pay and missed out on.

The bathroom is extremely dirty, as if nobody ever cleaned it.
