During our wanderings thru Nara Park, the Missus and I with our family out-laws found the Yoshikien Garden. Admission was free. The garden was very peaceful and located in a beautiful setting filled with Japanese greenery, walking pathways and a teahouse. A very zen-like atmosphere and it was a good break from urban activities.

Yoshikien Garden is exquisitely crafted, seamlessly integrating three distinct styles of traditional Japanese landscaping: the pond garden, the moss garden, and the tea ceremony garden. These three elements serve as the central focal points, harmoniously converging to create a serene and peaceful ambiance. I visited there for the first time many years ago. Since then, every time I visit Nara, I often arrange my time to visit there again. Admission to the garden is complimentary. 👍💕

Garden worth visiting. Beautiful & peaceful & very well taken care of. The lady at the entrance is very friendly; welcoming.

A valuable experience especially it is free admission. You must come here, it doesn’t get too crowded since people just come and go. There are seating availble when you want to pause for a moment and there are resting areas and toilet too.
