Wonderful place for a walk. The transition from new to old Tallinn. Walking through the city gate feels like stepping back in time. Beautiful and cozy. Highly recommended!

Viru Gate is one of those spots we passed every time we entered Tallinn’s Old Town, and we never got tired of it. The medieval architecture is beautiful, and the view feels completely different in the morning compared to at night—both are lovely in their own way. Visiting during the Christmas season made it even more magical, with a truly fairytale atmosphere.
