This 18th century built theatre is one of my all time favourite theatres. This gem lies in the heart of Valletta. I literally raised my son there-great shows, concerts, Toi Toi kids shows, Baroque Festival. Last time I was there was for the Christmas panto. You can follow the programme on their website. Such a classic place, our national theatre in the heart of Valletta, Malta's capital city. When in there, it feels like you are transported in time to 100 or 200 years ago. Watching a show there is quite a nice experience. Pity that their online booking system is quite clunky.

Our first visit to this lovely theatre but it won't be the last. Comfortable seating helpful staff and a wonderful performance of The Nutcracker. Very enjoyable experience.

The Manoel theatre is an outstanding place. The ambience and acoustics are excellent. The wooden features make it one of the oldest theatres in Europe and that is still operating. Most shows are programmed between October and May, with afternoon and evening shows. An informative visit can be booked as well. We have watched stellar productions including musicals, family friendly productions, and drama. Definitely a place to visit.

Fun fact: it is Europe's third-oldest working theatre and the oldest theatre still in operation in the Commonwealth of Nations. Even though it.s small - 623 seats - it is just superb to visit it and to listen to the guide tell its story. Go and visit it, but make sure it is in the morning, when they have a guide.
