I was able to see endless rows of earthen walls and precious historic buildings. There was also a building exhibiting various documents and a replica model of the capital. I was reminded once again that Nara Prefecture is an ancient capital.

Volunteer guides will give you a detailed explanation. The corner tower is currently under construction, so it looks a little unsightly. However, it's quiet, so you can take your time looking around.

It's a facility similar to what we would call a guest house today. It has a strange blend of Japanese and Chinese styles. It's a building that was recreated using the technology of the time, so it's fun to take your time to look around.

☆The corner tower (kumuro) in the southeast corner of the "East Court Garden" has a slightly unusual shape. It has two roofs facing west and north on the first floor, and a golden phoenix sits atop the second roof. It's quite an intricate structure. 👀 There are benches on the first floor, so you can take a break and enjoy the garden view with its waterfront. 😄

Unfortunately, it was under construction. I wonder if it served a similar role to a castle tower?
