I was able to see endless rows of earthen walls and precious historic buildings. There was also a building exhibiting various documents and a replica model of the capital. I was reminded once again that Nara Prefecture is an ancient capital.

Volunteer guides will give you a detailed explanation. The corner tower is currently under construction, so it looks a little unsightly. However, it's quiet, so you can take your time looking around.

It's a facility similar to what we would call a guest house today. It has a strange blend of Japanese and Chinese styles. It's a building that was recreated using the technology of the time, so it's fun to take your time to look around.

It has two roofs facing west and north on the first floor, and a golden phoenix sits atop the second roof. It's quite an intricate structure. 👀 There are benches on the first floor, so you can take a break and enjoy the garden view with its waterfront. 😄
