It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. The cable car rides were long if you took both Combis, but totally worth it. It's crowded, but still worth it. I went in winter, and seeing people skiing with those majestic landscapes was mesmerizing. Best place I visited during my trip to Kazakhstan. There are some cafes too.

A clean, modern ski resort with great mountain views and smooth gondola (Cable-Car) rides. Even if you’re not skiing, the panoramic viewpoints and restaurants make it worth the visit. Weather changes fast at the top, so clear days are best for photos. The ride up is one of the highlights. Freezing conditions on the top, so take all your winter clothes, cap, gloves etc. Three level stops, so we need to change cable car 🚠 on each level to reach the top, first one takes a long time and also a slow

Shymbulak is an absolutely amazing place that offers stunning mountain views and fresh alpine air. The gondola ride itself is a beautiful experience, and we highly recommend going all the way up! We purchased the pass for all three layers, which cost 8,000 KZT per adult—a fantastic value for the experience. Shymbulak is without a doubt one of the highlights of Kazakhstan and a destination I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Almaty. I visited in August, and even though it wasn’t ski season, the resort offered breathtaking mountain views, crisp fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it a year-round attraction.
