A really nice sculpture commemorating those lost in war. This is a nice piece of craftsmanship and interesting to see when in the area.

This monument is dedicated to the Scotsmen that fought in the American Civil War. I am from Gettysburg, PA, so this was a surprise. I didn’t expect to see something like this. It just shows how much our Civil War affected those across the seas.
This was commissioned by the American Consul William Bruce and his wife after meeting the widow of a Scottish soldier who was buried in an unmarked grave. It was dedicated on August 21, 1893.
