We had a very pleasant walk from the Central Plaza through winding streets with very historic houses until we reached this Museum of the Recoleta Convent. It is certainly a historical and cultural place, established in 1601 by the Franciscan Order. It has served as a convent, barracks, and prison over its 400-year history. The museum features an impressive collection of religious art, sculptures, and paintings spanning the 16th to 20th centuries, as well as unique wooden carvings in the church c
