My husband, a friend and I stumbled across this delightful museum last week while walking around Tuxtla. We had an excellent escorted tour with an informative and enthusiastic guide who spoke very good English. We thoroughly enjoyed this, as well as the samples of local sweets, empanadas, jamaica juice and of course coffee with which we were provided. All of this for 25 pesos each! Highly recommended.

Decided to stop in and kill some time. Was definitely impressed with our guide that was provided. He was definitely passionate about the museum and all the history of the museum. For a small museum we ended up spending 2 hours here, but it was definitely worth it as you receive a complimentary cup of coffee with your purchase.
