It was from this balcony that the "Act of Restoration of the Ukrainian State" was announced in 1941 by Yaroslav Stetsko, which caused a negative reaction from the Germans.
The building has gone through a remarkable history, has undergone many reconstructions, and has changed several owners.
Before the appearance of this building, five old stone houses, which were the property of Prince Sapieha, stood on its site.
