Lower Barrakka Gardens is a lovely place to take a break and enjoy Valletta. It’s calm, well kept, and the views over the Grand Harbour are absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed strolling through and soaking up the atmosphere. A great little stop if you’re exploring the city and want a quieter viewpoint away from the crowds.

We were a group of 5 people and we had a great time in the gardens. We had arranged to be there at the time when the cannon shots would be. The experience was great even though the weather was a bit cold and rainy. If anyone wanted to, for a few euros, they could go and see the cannon shots from up close.is worth taking a walk in the gardens of Upper and lower Baraka. There is also a paid elevator.

We loved this garden. It has an amazing view of the Grand Harbour, 3 Cities and more. The garden itself is beautiful, well maintained and clean. Lovely monument as the centre piece. Not as busy as the Upper Barrakka gardens and it has a couple of cafes at the entrance. Grab a bench seat (there are many) and enjoy the views away from the bigger crowds. We visited twice whilst in Valletta. On the Sunday morning there was just a few people.
