The “Little” Resurrection Church was erected in the 20s of 20th century for a temporary service for believers in the Žaliakalnis (Green Hill) until the proper Resurrection Basilica will be built. However, the Soviets confiscated the major church, so this church was the main one in this part of Žaliakalnis for more than 50 years. A small, old wooden church that has preserved the ancient style. However, at the moment, I think it is visited only by those who live nearby, because in the same block there is the Church of Jesus Christ - Resurrection, which is very popular in Kaunas at the moment, whose popularity is influenced by the pastor - writer Lyris.🙏
