this is the beach to go to in rio. easily the least amount of people and trash. ive heard people do not like the vendors but I LOVED THAT. Corn in a cup? YES! Matte bem gelado! Brigado! I bought everything lol. it was great. we got there and we got our chaira and umbrella from a vendor that had their prices posted so we didnt need to haggle. this was the height of my trip.

Beautiful beach that’s a tad bit less crowded than ipanema and Copacabana. Also near by is really good nightlife in Leblon.

Of course during carnival it is very crowded as is everywhere in Rio.

People say it's nice... I say It's beautiful. It's not dangerous. Just don't be a freaking idiot! Why walk on the beach dressed up nice. Why bring valuable goods?? Just don't do it and you'll never be a Target!
