We loved our guide Allen! He was super knowledgeable about the caves, Taíno population, flora, and fauna. We got to swim in two of the caves (and got to jump off a ledge into the last one!) I would recommend visiting the caves to anyone visiting Cabarete – truly worth your time and the $20 per person.

Really great tour with Allen. Friendly, knowledgeable, fluent english.

$20USD to enter to get a guide (mandatory). Learned about local life, plants, and history. Toured 4 caves and got to swim. Bring swimwear and water shoes!! Goggles are nice too. Used phone flashlight, but I recommend bringing an external light if available. Bug spray is a must!!!

Entire tour was only approximately 500m hike, and lasted about 1.5 hours. No rush. Beautifully tranquil (other than mosquitoes).

A very intriguing and delightful experience. There are 4 caves and 2 separate spots to swim in the water inside the caves. The guides are informative. The caves are BEAUTIFUL. The water in these caves is something to experience. Be prepared to jump in the water if you want to have the 20 USD worth of an experience.

Entry fee is only $100 Dominican pesos but they won’t let you in unless you pay them $1250 per person. The extra fee is for a tour guide that you have to pay regardless, you don’t have an option, if you don’t pay the guide they won’t let you in. I am a native and I felt disgusted at the way they treat the tourists. I’m sure nobody that experienced something like this will ever come back to the island.
