Must visit spot in Tallinn. It's a impressive museum to visit for any history nerd or just anyone who wants to have a great time. You can see medieval armour, cannons on display. Also there are plenty of interactive displays, games, so your kids will definitely have a blast. There is also a lovely gift shop with variety of souvenirs and even some local beer for sale.

I visited this museum during the free museum day. It is otherwise a nice and large museum where you could easily spend 1.5–2 hours walking around, reading, and taking photos at a relaxed pace.

When I took my free ticket, I did not pay attention to the closing time and got a ticket for 5PM, but the museum closes at 6PM.

This meant I had to rush through the exhibits, and the bastion piers were already closed by 5.30 PM, so I could not get there. Only 30 minutes was too short to explore everythin

Spent over 3 hours visiting the entire museum, including the 4 towers and the underground tunnels. It was an amazing experience, full of interactive and immersive elements. From projections in the walls to being able to try on a medieval armor mesh, this museum teaches you about history by letting you dive into it in first person. An absolutely amazing way to spend a day in Tallinn. Especially if you’re looking for cover from the unforgiving strong snowy winds of Winter.
