Built 132 years ago, this temple holds a quiet depth of history. It has been a long time since I last visited a temple. I had passed by this one many times without even realizing what it was. 1/1/2026, I finally have a chance to walk in and felt the rich cultural presence and peaceful spiritual energy within.

Really interesting museum. I was lucky to stumble upon it. There was masses of information about the origins of the temple and the Chinese community in KL. There were also fascinating panorami of KL over four different periods and you could see the differences quite clearly. In the 1880s the centre of the city where the temple stands was just wooden huts. Merdeka Square was fields!
