The path leading to the Ham Rong mountain behind the park is one of my favorite hiking trails. It is uncrowded even on sunny days and accessible with the slope being very mild. You can reach Ham Rong summit and return within 1.5 hours of walking. This is probably the best place to enjoy quiet solitude away from the busy Sapa streets.
