This beautiful wetland park is a peaceful escape. Perfect for relaxing, jogging or simply enjoying nature. Though still developing, it already offers great biodiversity with plenty of birds, invertebrates and even reported sightings of fishing cats by ecologists.

There’s a dense forested area in the middle, adding to the wild charm. Highly recommend visiting early in the morning for the best experience.

A wonderful place a peaceful walk and jogging. The park is still taking shape and no lightings for a late evening walk. But the environment is rich in biodiversity, with lots of water birds, dragonflies and flowers. One round of walk would complete nearly 1.7 km. Excellent space developed to promote a healthy life style while appreciating the beauty and nature around the wetlands in Kollonnawa and Gothatuwa area. Beautiful butterfly gardens and a variety of trees planted along the walkway which extends up to 4km. The walking and cycling track is open from 6am to 6pm daily. Managed by the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation.

It’s a good to have a walking path around It’s a short circuit, but it’s better than nothing. It decently clean, few dogs on the path but non will chase you, and many birds.
