I was lucky to be there in low season(Winter). Our guide told us it's usually always busy all year long but people avoid it in winter because of the snow. It was magnificent and informative. Guides aren't allowed inside churches so they brief you in advance and you go inside on your own. One thing you should never neglect is photography isn't allowed inside churches and there's always someone inside watching for cameras even if you don't notice them.
