If you enjoy sand, then this is the place for you. Understandably one of the most popular places to visit in Gran Canaria. Be prepared to wash sand out of your ears, shoes, and pockets later in the day. Also, be prepared to see nudists the closer you get to the sea.

This place is 100% worth a visit. Bring a tennis ball or an american football and enjoy some throwing and catching fun!

Absolutely breathtaking! The Dunas de Maspalomas feel like a mini Sahara by the ocean. The golden sand dunes stretch endlessly and change beautifully with the light throughout the day, especially at sunset. It’s a peaceful, unique place that’s perfect for walking, photography, or simply enjoying nature. Very clean and well protected, with amazing views of the sea and mountains. A must-visit spot in Gran Canaria, truly unforgettable!

I would never have thought that such a natural refuge could exist right in the middle of a tourist hotspot. And even if it did, I wouldn’t have expected it to be so pleasantly uncrowded (well, except for the beach). But the dune area is large enough that even when others are walking there, it never feels crowded. In some parts you don’t see anyone at all. Thankfully, most people respect the rule not to leave the official paths, helping to preserve the nature. You can easily spend two or three ho

One of the most unique spots on the island. Suitable for all age groups. Breathtaking sunset views from the dune ridges. Sunset (in October) was between 6 and 7 Highly recommend taking a stroll down the beach to the light house. The sun sets right behind it with spectacular views

The dunes in Maspalomas are a vast stretch of golden sand right next to the beach, giving it a real desert-like feel. There’s no entrance fee and no set route - you can simply walk around and explore at your own pace. When we visited, the weather was very unusual - thick, dark clouds on one side and a clear blue sky on the other. It made the place feel even more dramatic and unique. Worth visiting while in Maspalomas.
